Company Overview
The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization. PPIC helps state policymakers and other leaders make informed choices by providing objective, high-quality, nonpartisan research and evidence-based analysis. Our successful model of research and engagement has established PPIC as a trusted source of information on the most pressing issues facing California today.
Our talented, mission-driven staff cares deeply about improving policy making in California. We welcome diversity of all kinds. We foster a dynamic and inclusive environment for rigorous research combined with frequent interactions with policymakers and other leaders across the state. We take a highly collaborative approach to putting research into action, encouraging interdisciplinary work and hosting public events on key issues of the day.
To ensure that PPIC’s work is timely and relevant to California policy decisions, we rely on a strong cross-departmental process. Research project teams work closely with colleagues in communications, government affairs, and operational support. Staff members also have full access to external support and resources, including advisory councils, academic networks and libraries, and technical training.
