HR Associate, People & Culture

LOCATION:  Baltimore/Towson, MD area; Dallas/Plano, TX area; Chicago, IL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A key member of the People & Culture team supporting the full employment life cycle, including onboarding, reporting, payroll, benefit administration, departures, and internal and external stakeholders. Reports to Payroll Director.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Talent Life Cycle Administration – create offer letters for review, maintain arrival spreadsheet, set up new hires, temps and consultants in MCI systems, establish digital personnel files, deliver on-boarding presentations, enroll talents in required trainings, make data changes in MCI systems, deactivate departing talents, move digital files to terminated
  • HRIS System (Paycom) support – report writing, password resets, manage FMLA dashboard and generate required notices, manage CLUE (vaccination status) dashboard, answer routine questions regarding pay, withholding and benefits for talents.
  • Serve as backup to Payroll Director for the payroll process
  • Benefit Support – provide monthly updates on new hires and termination to vendors without electronic file feeds, provide benefit costs and allocations to finance
  • Maintain talent referral program
  • Maintain headcount reporting. 
  • Maintain department intranet files – ensure current versions of People & Culture documents are available to talents and remove outdated information

 Other Duties:

  • Function as MCI USA team member in accordance with MCI USA’s corporate vision and guiding principles
  • Other duties as assigned

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 – 4 years human resources experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize new HR related systems/tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus

 The following knowledge/experience is not required but a plus:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Prior experience with Paycom, Replicon and/or SuccessFactors
