The HR Coordinator for Welch Packaging assists in Human Resource programs, including talent sourcing, recruiting, development and deployment. This position is a key role and provides direct support for the administrative portion of the plant's HR policies and programs and coordinates employee appreciate events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all phases of employment at sites for which she/he is responsible, including advertising, recruiting, interviewing, testing, placement, orientation, training and development of associates, exit interviews and unemployment compensation hearings.
Fully owns Onboarding Process and Documentation tracking, including weekly Orientations
Reviews applications, performs references checks and employment verifications. Establishes and maintains qualification standards for all positions.
Serves as the primary source of contact to facility managers and employees on all human resource related matters.
Primarily responsible for on-site employee engagement and addressing employee concerns and needs.
Responsible for local compliance to work rules, policies and procedures.
Support the recruiting, training and development of production and non-exempt associates.
Assists with implementation and annually updates compensation programs, rewrites job descriptions as necessary, analyzes compensation, differentiation, and monitors performance review process. Responsible for development of Performance Improvements plan for select associates.
Assists HR Manager with maintaining tracking systems for performance reviews, vacations and company metrics such as turnover statistics.
Assists HR Manager with worker's compensation, management of claims processes and compliance.
Supports benefits and insurance administration.
Maintains strict confidentiality of files, salaries and other information of a business or personal nature.
Stays current of changes in federal, state and local employment laws, and ensures locations are in full compliance.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related field preferred.
One year of human resources or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple work assignments and job-related requests under strict time constraints.
Must be capable of working independently and taking the initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Excellent problem solving and leadership skills.
Solid knowledge of labor laws affecting employment practices.
