Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end recruiting processes, including job posting, screening, interviews, and offer letters.
  • Manage on-boarding activities, including new employee set-up in HRIS portal, orientation, and training for new employees.
  • Balance weekly time for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
  • Maintain and update HRIS database, ensuring data accuracy, employee records,
  • Oversee benefit enrollment including open enrollment and new employee eligibility including response to employee questions relative to benefits. Distribute Summary Plan Documents and other employee notifications as required.
  • Reconcile and process monthly insurance carrier/provider invoicing and submit for timely processing.
  • Enter adds/changes/deletes into insurance carrier and other benefit portals.
  • Distribute appropriate COBRA paperwork and track COBRA payment.
  • Understand FMLA.  Timely distribute notices and track FMLA leave including intermittent FMLA.
  • Assist in planning and delivery of unique employee activities, special events and functions; celebrating birthdays and service milestones.
  • Manage off-boarding of employees including termination paperwork.
  • Prepare HR reports, analyze data, and create presentations for management.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Support HR-related administrative tasks as needed.

After training this position may have one remote day per week. 



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.  Work experience may be substituted for higher education.
  • Proven experience in HR functions, including recruiting, on-boarding, and state and federal labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS database management, including data entry and reporting.
  • Knowledge of benefit enrollment and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
  • Comfortable with MS 365 suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
