Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end recruiting processes, including job posting, screening, interviews, and offer letters.
- Manage on-boarding activities, including new employee set-up in HRIS portal, orientation, and training for new employees.
- Balance weekly time for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain and update HRIS database, ensuring data accuracy, employee records,
- Oversee benefit enrollment including open enrollment and new employee eligibility including response to employee questions relative to benefits. Distribute Summary Plan Documents and other employee notifications as required.
- Reconcile and process monthly insurance carrier/provider invoicing and submit for timely processing.
- Enter adds/changes/deletes into insurance carrier and other benefit portals.
- Distribute appropriate COBRA paperwork and track COBRA payment.
- Understand FMLA. Timely distribute notices and track FMLA leave including intermittent FMLA.
- Assist in planning and delivery of unique employee activities, special events and functions; celebrating birthdays and service milestones.
- Manage off-boarding of employees including termination paperwork.
- Prepare HR reports, analyze data, and create presentations for management.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Support HR-related administrative tasks as needed.
After training this position may have one remote day per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. Work experience may be substituted for higher education.
- Proven experience in HR functions, including recruiting, on-boarding, and state and federal labor laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS database management, including data entry and reporting.
- Knowledge of benefit enrollment and reconciliation processes.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
- Comfortable with MS 365 suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
