TITLE:                          HR MANAGER

DEPARTMENT:            HUMAN RESOURCES

REPORTING TO:          VP OF OPERATIONS & HR

LOCATION:                  NEW YORK

Summary

The HR Manager will serve as HR expert and provide guidance, support and advice on a variety of HR disciplines. This individual will serve as a true strategic business partner while working closely with Leadership Team to ensure HR effectiveness and maintain a positive culture while leading and promoting HR initiatives and programs that align with company objectives.

Essential Functions 

  • Develop and drive HR initiatives and programs that align and support business objectives
  • Cultivate strong relationships with employees and Leadership and develop a deep understanding of the FOODMatch business model
  • Manage the employee lifecycle; recruitment, onboarding, development, offboarding
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team on strategy for policies, programs, and benefits
  • Proactively communicate relevant updates on policies, programs, benefits and safety
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations closely following industry updates
  • Develop and execute DEI/EEO strategies
  • Create and design learning and development programs to support employee growth
  • Coaching managers on employee relations providing support with conflict resolution
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration
  • Manage and update various HR platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS)
  • Oversee Performance Management process utilizing HRIS
  • Conduct regular market research to ensure our compensation package is competitive
  • Develop HR planning models to identify talent gaps and develop specific succession planning and career pathing programs


Requirements

Background Requirements 

  • 5+ years of HR Management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) required
  • Previous experience in the Food & Beverage or Specialty Food industry a plus
  • Experience with HRIS, LMS, ATS preferred. Experience with Namely or Cornerstone a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Emotionally intelligent, empathetic and strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of organizations
  • Good working knowledge of applicable local, state, federal employment laws. Experience working with a distributed workforce across the US
  • Coaching, training facilitation, and mediation skills
  • Knowledge of staffing, compensation, and talent management best practices
  • Ability to direct initiatives and gain buy-in from Leadership Team
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and good judgement. Possess exceptional ethical and behavioral standards

  • This role requires minimal travel
