Job Description
Allstate's Human Resources team provides creative solutions to address the diverse needs and evolving nature of our workforce. HR's strategy includes focused work in the areas of talent management, inclusive diversity and equity, employee experience, healthy workplace and operational excellence. The HR team is excited to be able to offer a dynamic HR Intern an opportunity to join the team for four months, May to August 2 025 .
This paid internship will provide hands-on experience and great exposure to a variety of Human Resources functions. You do not need to be enrolled in a Co-op program to apply for this opportunity.
This year the Intern will help support the following but not limited to:
Assist with HCM data recordkeeping through Workday
Support in AI embedded employee request handling
Support learning production in Microsoft Teams
Assist with Employee Resource Group (ERGs) campaign planning under our Inclusive Diversity and Equity (IDE) strategy
Assist with the Employee Experience Council (EEC) initiatives and provide administrative support
Assist with monthly wellness campaigns
Assist with health & safety recordkeeping eg. m aintain committee and rep lists to ensure compliance to H&S standards, communicate and follow-up on mandatory training.
Assist with pension plan documentations by r eview ing files and gathering documents for legal audit review.
Offer project assistance through meeting m inute taking at project meetings, draft template communications for HR programs .
Qualifications & Experience:
Working towards Human Resources designation, 3rd and 4th year students would be preferred
Ideally some experience in a hybrid corporate environment
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft office applications
Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail
Positive, proactive approach to work that demonstrates initiative
Demonstrates resourcefulness when seeking solutions
Ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes and technology
Motivated to work with limited supervision to produce quality results
