Description

Perform duties to ensure company payroll is processed timely and accurately while supporting the daily operations of the HR Department which includes but is not limited to employee relations, system administration, and employee/manager support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process company payroll and all payroll related functions using web-based program with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide HR support services to employees and management team, responding to questions, ensuring company policies, procedures and practices are communicated and consistently applied
  • Review and advise managers on any employee missed punches/time card corrections daily
  • Assist managers with clearing daily dashboard exceptions on payroll system
  • Upkeep of employee data in payroll/HRIS software system
  • Prepare and submit any necessary payroll related filings for State and Federal taxes, child support orders, wage garnishments and other payroll related items
  • Serve as lead on administration of supplemental HR systems (i.e. call off line, training software, mass notification system, etc.)
  • Complete employee wage verification requests
  • Prepare necessary information for payroll/employee benefit audits
  • Assist in month end reporting procedures and annual audits as needed
  • Provide requested reports to various senior management members
  • Filing monthly, quarterly, and annual government reports
  • Act as a back up to the HR Associate
  • Work with Director of HR on personnel related items
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Associate degree in HR, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years of payroll processing and HR experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in HR systems
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including pay practices
  • Overall proficiency with computers, specifically proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and personnel information
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor

Preferred Skills:

  • PHR and/or Payroll certifications
