Description
With over 35 years in business, the Delta-T Group has built a reputation for referring highly qualified professionals for rewarding short and long-term independent contract opportunities.Our Client is seeking a DSP/Residential Aide to provide support persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Yonkers area.
Compensation: Starting at $17 per hour
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
* Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
* Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care, and concern.
* Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications.
* Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed)
* Acts as a role model for positive behavior.
* Ability to lift weights of approximately 10-15lbs
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Valid Driver's License
* Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population
