Job Summary:
The Human Resources Talent Acquisition – Recruiter plays a key role in supporting Keewatin Air LP’s hiring objectives. This position partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and lead the full-cycle recruitment process—from sourcing and screening to hiring and onboard using Dayforce. The Recruiter develops and executes tailored recruitment strategies based on the nature of each role, leveraging platforms such as job boards, social media, virtual hiring tools, and career events.
In addition to recruitment, the role supports onboarding activities including orientation and completion of employment documentation (e.g., tax forms, benefits enrollment, and policy acknowledgments).
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop recruitment strategies aligned with business goals. Forecast future talent needs based on organizational growth.
Identify and attract top talent using job boards, social media, referrals, and networking. - Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Partners with universities, professional associations, and community organizations.
- Review resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates, Conduct initial interviews and assessments, Coordinate interviews with hiring teams and provide feedback.
- Promote the company’s culture and values to attract candidates.
- Represent the organization at career fairs and recruitment events.
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance recruitment campaigns.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and hiring decisions.
- Offer Management & Onboarding: Extend job offers, facilitate onboarding documents and coordinate onboarding with Hiring
- Metrics & Reporting: Track recruitment KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness). Analyze data to improve recruitment processes. Report hiring progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices, including international hiring processes.
- Familiarity with Canadian HR legislation, including the Canada Labour Code and Employment Standards Codes.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management from a recognized Canadian institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, including international recruitment (LMIA, work permits).
- Proficiency with Dayforce ATS and HRIS systems required.
- Preferred: 3–5 years as an HR Generalist in a federally regulated workplace (subject to Canada Labour Code, Employment Equity, Pay Equity).
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or knowledge of the aviation industry is an asset.
- CPHR designation is considered an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- The successful candidate must be able to complete a background check successfully, which will include a criminal record check.

- Sourcing & Networking: Proficiency in using LinkedIn, job boards, and ATS platforms. Strong networking abilities within industry and talent communities.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Familiarity with AI-driven sourcing tools and recruitment automation.
- Project Management: Organized and detail-oriented in tracking candidate progress.
- Business Acumen: Ability to align recruitment strategies with business needs.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with hiring managers and candidates
- Adaptable: Embraces change and innovation; contributes ideas to improve recruitment and onboarding practices.
- Data-Driven: Use of metrics and analytics to improve recruitment outcomes
- Confidentiality & Ethics: Maintains discretion with sensitive candidate and company information.
