HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our newest client, Morris & Dickson, for the Chief Human Resources Officer. The Chief Human Resources Officer will plan, direct, and administer all human resource functions for Morris and Dickson, including employee recruitment, staffing, compensation, employee benefit programs, performance management, risk and safety management, employee relations activities, employee onboarding, and policy management. This individual will lead the human resources team to collaboratively drive strategy and provide a high level of service while guiding and coaching employees in all areas of human resources.
Morris & Dickson desires an experienced human resources (HR) executive able to align HR services and expertise in support of organizational and people effectiveness in the largest independent pharmaceutical wholesaler in the country. This individual will lead a small human resources team who acts as the point of contact for employees at all levels, ensuring the successful delivery of programs, policies, culture, and talent activities. This role operates as a collaborative strategist and a tactician with a strong focus on organizational effectiveness and problem-solving. As a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer, the CHRO will be a trusted executive leadership team member.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a closely related field
- A minimum of 7-10 years of human resources executive leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Preferred:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
- SHRM-SCP Certification or SPHR Certification
- A certification in Executive Coaching
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and recommends company personnel policies; establishes personnel practices and procedures; administers such policies, practices, and procedures, including hiring, staffing assignment, performance evaluation, retirement, transfer, leave of absence, termination, and others.
- Plans, directs and supervises recruitment activities for all company positions in accordance with equal employment opportunity policies.
- Establishes and maintains a system of personnel records for employees
- Plans, directs, and administers wage and salary administration programs, including employee classification, position descriptions, specifications, performance reviews, etc.
- Plans, directs and supervises employee benefit programs.
- Supervises the selection, hiring, and training of human resources department staff.
- Supervises the evaluation of human resources staff performance and recommendation of salary increases.
- Coordinates employee communications.
- Interprets and administers the policies and procedures as they apply to evaluation, wage and salary administration, benefits, and other items and conditions of employment for employees.
- Serves as a member of the CEO’s leadership team and participates in company-wide planning and management.
- Provides support and leadership for the company’s learning and education activities.
- Works collaboratively with other departments and department heads to facilitate support for their human resources needs.
