Pay Range
$23.65 - $35.50
Under the direction of the physicians and Registered Nurses or Respiratory Therapists in providing technical care of the patients by performing phlebotomy and intravenous (IV) starts, transporting patients to other departments, placing patients on cardiac and vital sign monitors, caring for wounds, inserting Foley catheters, airway management/ventilation and obtaining lab specimens.

Responsible for inter-facility transfer of patients on the Mobile Critical Care Transport Unit. The staff Paramedic provides comprehensive safe effective medical care to patients transported from referring hospitals under the direction of the medical director. The paramedic will effectively manage the plan of care for each patient based on appropriate protocols, policies and procedures. The Critical Care Transport Paramedic will be responsible for maintaining all required education as listed below and attending required staff meetings.. Patient Caregiver Verbalizes and demonstrates the role of the patient caregiver and documenter Supplies and Signs Verification Check the Critical Care Transport Unit daily to ensure adequate supplies and signs verification; Check narcotics and drugs daily and sign verification form Competency & Certification Compliance Successfully maintains and completes required competencies and certifications Meeting Attendance Attends Critical Care Transport Staff Meetings and education as requested by CCT Coordinator Professionalism Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adheres to department rules. Physical and Behavioral Requirements - Physical requirements include occasional sitting, kneeling, crawling - Frequent stooping, and constant standing, walking, and reaching. - Heavy physical force is required (exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects). - Visual acuity required for patient assessment, accurate documentation, and equipment operation. - Ability to speak and hear is required for patient assessment and to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and staff. - Sense of smell and touch required for patient assessments. - Manual finger dexterity required for accurate documentation, administration of medications/treatments, and equipment operation. - Ability to effectively manage a high stress environment to provide optimal patient care.
